Sa Dec excursion

Sa Dec is a fast-developing city in Dong Thap province. It is a river port, agricultural and trading center in the Mekong Delta, with a population more than 200,000 people. Thanks to its central location in the whole Mekong delta, Sa Dec was once used as a Swift Boat Coastal Base during the Vietnam War. Nowadays, Sa Dec attracts a lot of waterway visitors mainly because of the Lover’s house which went viral after the writer Marguerite Duras won the Prix Goncourt in the 1984, for the novel about her love story with a man in Sa Dec, Mr. Huynh Thuy Le.
