The Mekong King boat designs this excursion to let us explore the vast ecological center of the Mekong Delta. After a short 2 and a half hours ride South Southwest from Saigon to Vinh Long, we will embark on the Mekong King luxury wooden boat to begin our journey to the rich agricultural land with the most hospitable people in Vietnam. The leisurely excursion will include a visit to a local brick kiln. Continue the cruise along tiny creeks with more photo opportunities of different activities such as transporting rice, dredging sand, weaving palmleaves, checking on fishing net, etc. Especially, we will stop by the most famous nursery garden of a local farmer to sample some fruits to be picked fresh from vine while enjoying traditional music. Then, drive further for a visit to a family cottage industry for some learning and discovery with 5 true senses of how to make rice cracker, pop corn, pop rice and coco candies. After a delicious lunch awaiting us inside a garden restaurant of a former Mandarin’s ancient house with different Mekong’s specialties, the trip continues with a buggy ride around Tan Phong island to contemplate the verdant fruit orchards along the backstreets on the island. Finally, we get dropped off at Cai Be pier and bid farewell to the crew.
