Introduction

Duration: 2.5 – 3 hours

Cao Lanh, known as “the land of pink lotus”, is a small and lovely city along the Mekong river, untouched by tourism. It is famous for lotus and tropical fruits, especially mango.

Touring this lively city would give people an interesting insight into its nature, culture, history and local life. The sightseeing partly by sampan and partly by coach will include 3 stops: a lotus workshop, a mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh’s father, and a mango farm.

The tour begins with a mango farm where guests can stroll into the garden, learn about farming experience. Then, this family also makes a living from weaving water hyacinth products during their idle time, which is another great thing to experience.

The next stop is the mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh’s father. The complex is fairly beautiful with the pink lotus pond and a nice park. Guests can visit the complex and hear about the autobiography of Ho Chi Minh’s father, who is a great Teacher and Druggist. There is a replica of Ho Chi Minh stilt-house to visit for those who do not have the opportunity to see it in Hanoi.

Another interesting stop to complete the excursion is the Eco-Lotus workshop. Guests can learn about the lotus life story and witness the process of making different things from lotus leaves such as lotus conical hats, bags, fans, paintings, boxes, artworks on vases, together with unique products from lotus seeds for foods and drinks.
